About the Owner




Melissa Labuschagne has a degree in languages, specialising in translation, as well as English and French grammar and writing conventions. She also has an honours degree in French, and a Master’s degree in Assessment and Quality Assurance.

For three years, she was employed repeatedly by a top research institute in Pretoria to transcribe, analyse, and edit interviews. She has honed her skills in accuracy and quality, delivering top results.

As an additional achievement, Melissa has completed the Delf (Diplome d’Éducation dans la Langue Française) exam at the Alliance Française in Pretoria. She is also a member of the South African Translators’ Institute (SATI), as well as the Professional Editors’ Guild (PEG).

Through the editing and proofreading services, Melissa has edited for students and lecturers alike at Universities around the country over the last six years, and has carried out translations for international clients in various fields. Melissa is also associated with the South African Journal of Education (SAJE) as a prescribed editor.
